The owner of this villa in Begur ordered us to transform a basement with great potential, since it is next to the back garden, in a one-room apartment. Always following a rustic style, a single space was designed for the living room and the kitchen-dining room, but divided into two environments through the ceilings. In the kitchen-dining room, we built a roof of vaults in the manner of the early twentieth century, which gives the room a strong personality. We covered the kitchen hood, also very traditional, with the same bricks to give unity to the whole.
The rustic atmosphere is also noted in details as an old beam, which gives personality to the space that communicates with the bedroom; and in the bathroom, with a modern design but where wood and terracotta tiles prevail.
Another intervention in this house was the construction of a new porch on the side, turning this terrace into an exceptional summer dining room.
